This year, each class of RAM trucks has undergone one of their biggest redesigns in generations. You’ll notice several aesthetic changes throughout the exterior and interior, as well as a handful of performance tweaks and even one of the biggest UConnect touchscreen displays available for you to upgrade. Take a look below to find out more about some of the biggest changes and redesigns coming to RAM trucks this year.
The company’s flagship midsize truck received one of its biggest redesigns, ever. The all-new RAM 1500 is the most technologically advanced yet, adding a wide array of new features and attributes never before seen in RAM trucks. For starters, it’s built with a more aerodynamic look and feel, featuring a new imposing grille, luxurious interior accents, and a huge 12.1-inch touchscreen display. Also, for the first time, the RAM 1500’s 3.6L Pentastar™ V6 now has an eTorque electric drivetrain for a slight electric boost in performance.
Moving up into the next level of RAM truck, the 2500 comes with an impressive set of upgrades from last year’s model. Much like the 1500, the next model up also receives an incredibly significant redesign, with visible facelifts featured throughout and more high-tech features integrated into the truck. It’s 6.4L HEMI® V8 engine is still as powerful as ever, and now the RAM 2500 gives you the opportunity to tow up to 19,780 lbs when properly equipped.
We see that the redesigned exterior effect has swept its way into the 3500 as well. It also features a newly-updated appearance, featuring an all-new grille, redesigned headlights and taillights, as well as a more luxurious interior throughout the cabin. While the 5.7L V8 engine is no longer standard on the 3500, the new 6.4L version comes with an impressive eight-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, should you choose the diesel engine for the 3500, you’ll get an unprecedented, best-in-class 1,000 lb-ft worth of torque.
